Get in the game

Kia Ora welcome back to another Blog post. This one is about winter sport. In term  2  we had to decided what sport we wanted to play on a Thursday  I decided to play hockey. Then we had trials to see what team we would get put into. I got put into the A year 5/6 Hockey team we were could the cheetahs. It was time for the first game we  jumped on a bus to go to nunweek. When we got there we had lunch and then got ready to play were playing hillview  and we won. I love playing hockey and I definitely think I got better over the year. And I think I got fitter over the season.

The Lego Blog

I rocked up at school on Monday morning with rooms full of Lego. And then I remembered that we got to do Lego for half the day I could not want.The first challenge was who could build the tallest tower.I decided to work with pieta. We started of with doing a base so that the tower would hold we had 45 minutes to build it . 5 4 3 2 1 the time had finished we had built a pretty small tower but we didn't care we had fun anyway.

The next challenge was Fastest car wins I worked with Lara this time  first we worked with Technics and made an amazing car.then we used normal Lego and made another car.I had so much fun building cars.

The last challenge was creating a  brige that could hold many book.I worked with Lara and Pieta  we made a therey sturdy brige.I brige was able to hold 21 books.

Last term we did a spelling test so we could find out what sounds we needed to work on.One of the sounds we were working Was words that end in er Our teacher had already put two words there for us They put water and baker  we had to come up with 6 more words  one of my favourite words I put was   Troublemaker.Then we had to come up with  a sentence My sentence sounded like this carter the baker was a troublemaker  his brother was a teacher and his sister was a skater.Then we had to add pictures.

  The next one was words with ar in it.This time we had to come up with 8 words I came up with Caterpillar party star jar  art  park  Car and Barry.  My sentence  was    Barry went to the bar in his car and played at the park  sore a star and some art.And then I added some pictures.

I loved doing spelling this week at and can't wait for more spelling!
